What moves with our purchase prices
Which grades last increased and which fell – calculated from our own price history, not estimated.
With this message, our news section begins. What is written here is not a market forecast and not an assessment, but an information: which of our purchase prices last moved, in which direction and how much.
The figures come from our own price history. Each change is recorded with old price, new price and timestamp – the table below calculates from it every time. It is therefore not outdated, and it is verifiable: each line leads to the grade that it is about.

Calculated over 30 days from our own price history, latest change on 30.10.2026. The price of a reckoning is always the day of weighing.
Why buy-in prices are moving at all
There are two sizes behind every kilo price. The first is the quotation of metal: copper, aluminium, zinc, lead and tin are traded in dollars on the London Metal Exchange every day, nickel as well. The exchange rate will be added. If one of them moves, the basis moves.
The second size is the distance between quotation and purchase price. In it there are sorting, weighing, transport to the hut and the burning up when melting. This gap is more stable than the listing – so our prices follow the stock exchange without following it one to one.
There is no stock listing for carbide. There are the tungsten portion for which reference values for concentrate and APT are published in the metal trade and the cobalt binder, which is listed on the stock exchange. The specific impact of this is on the page Carbide price.
How we track the prices
Once a day, we'll settle against the market. Several sources run side by side, and the highest value applies – not the mean. If a price changes from this, the change is recorded with old and new value. This is exactly what the table above is about.
Above the basic price is the quantity scale. If you bring more of the same grade, you get more than a kilo, because the effort is spread over more weight. The price page shows what this means in individual cases – the overview is available at Metal prices.
What this means for a sale
The price is always the day of weighing, not the day of the request. This is not a restriction, but the only way to keep it clean: between request and arrival there are one to two working days for a package, sometimes more at collection.
Those who want to give up a greater amount and wait for a certain price should not rely on their memory. In this case, there is the Price alert: enter once, and you will find out as soon as the purchase price of your grade moves significantly.
What will be here in the future
This section is intended for announcements from the holding – new grades, new paths, changes in the process. As long as there's nothing to report about it, the price mirror stays up what it wears. He's the information that most people are landing here for anyway.
