When buying metal, it's not the negotiating skill that decides. It's the grade. That's why every price is available here before you decide: you can see in advance what your scrap metal brings and compare it in peace. We buy from private individuals as well as from companies – in Ludwigshafen am Rhein and Germany.
First classify, then calculate
Most of the mistakes in selling happen before the scale. Anyone who delivers copper cables, brass fittings and iron parts together gets the mixture evaluated according to the weakest proportion – and often gives away more than the sorting would have cost.
A magnet is the most useful tool: it adheres to iron and steel, to Copper, Brass and Aluminium not. What is not adhered belongs in the more valuable box. If you are unsure, we will arrange the scrap metal together with you during the evaluation – free of charge and before weighing.
Metal purchase in your area
Our farm is located in Industriestraße 4 in 67063 Ludwigshafen am Rhein, Monday to Saturday from 9 am to 6 pm, without appointment. Mannheim starts opposite the Rhine Bridge; Frankenthal, Speyer and Worms are reachable in less than half an hour. As the process on site looks like, Delivery.
If you live further away, it won't change the kilo price. You can ship up to 1,000 kg; from 500 kg we pick up Germany-wide with our own fleet, with a staggered collection costs, which are fixed before the journey.
What determines the price
The quotations follow the world market and change daily – the valid figures are below Metal prices. You can influence the classification: pure scrap metal without iron adhesions, plastic, varnish and oil are best evaluated. In the case of cables, the conductor's component, in the case of electric motors, decides the copper winding, in the case of Aluminium wheels whether tyres and balance weights are off.
Weighing and disbursement
Weighing on a calibrated scale, the weighing slip is yours. After weighing, we pay out within 24 hours – in cash upon delivery or by bank transfer. From 1,000 € we need an ID card under the Money Laundering Act; in the case of commercial delivery, the tax liability applies according to § 13b UStG.
For larger quantities or scrap metal, which does not fit into any grade of the list, we calculate the proceeds in advance: Request a quote.
