A pick-up that has to start twice costs more than one that fits the first time. That's why it says here which containers we put, from what amount we drive, what the ride costs and what we need to know about you before. Our plant is located on Industriestraße 4, 67063 Ludwigshafen am Rhein; from there it is driven throughout Germany, not only in the Rhine-Neckar region.
Scrap collection from 500 kg, Germany
From 500 kg per process we pick up with our own fleet. The 500 kg are calculated over all grades: Three barrels of chips and a grid box profiles count together. There's no limit up there.
Under 500 kg, driving is the wrong way, and we'd rather say that before. Small, heavy posts are cheaper than Package delivery: up to 31.5 kg per package, up to 1,000 kg per operation, 6 euros per package, the DHL label comes from us. Those who sit close to Ludwigshafen often deliver cheaper themselves — Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., no appointment, no minimum quantity. Individual parts must be capable of being charging: no longer than 1,5 metres and no more than 0,5 by 0,5 metres in cross-section. More important is not an exclusion, but a case for a Supply — then we clear the cut and the device before. We disassemble complete systems ourselves, see Industrial dismantling.
Renting scrap containers: which containers we put
Which container is correct, does not decide the area, but the weight. Waste metal is heavy and requires little volume: Mixed iron scrap weighs roughly 0.6 to 1.0 tonnes per cubic metre as bulk material, chips are higher. A container with 40 cubic meters full of profile scrap is therefore long before the edge at the payload. The following sizes are industry-standard benchmarks; we determine which containers are available to you per location.

Separate containers per type are the biggest lever you have in your hand. In the mixture, the whole delivery is evaluated according to the weaker quality; two boxes instead of one cost nothing and redeem more. The 60 grades in 8 groups are listed below: Scrap metal buying. What the footprint must give
Three figures decide on the vehicle, not the price. First, the access: A drop-off tipper needs a guide value of around 3.5 metres in width and 8 metres in straight travel, a roll-off tipper about twice the length. Second, the height: when the container is set down and rolled off, it goes upwards, four metres of free height is a useful number of fists. Thirdly, the underground: soft ground, sewer lids and basement ceilings do not necessarily carry a full container.
What the logistics costs
The collection costs are staggered according to the distance between your location and Ludwigshafen. The figure is calculated by the crow flies between the central postal code points, not the route: the number is therefore the same and recalculated for both sides. The amount is fixed before the trip, appears at the end of the sale and will be charged with the payment, shown on the credit note.

For the presentation of a container we agree the costs beforehand and in writing; they depend on size, service life and distance. There is no number that applies to each location. What is certain is that the material value is offset, and in many cases there is no cost item at the end, but a credit note.
The sequence in seven steps
- Report grades, estimated quantity, location and desired period — by telephone or via the Supply. We answer within a working day.
- Set containers and vehicle, clear access, confirm costs in writing.
- Set container or set pick-up date.
- They fill, separately by grades, and report the level.
- We're picking up. For the freight forwarding collection our Terms and conditions a regular period of 24 to 48 hours from the day of collection to the plant.
- Weighing on the calibrated vehicle scale in Ludwigshafen — a truck has no calibrated scales on board.
- Weighing certificate, credit, payment within 24 hours of receipt of the weighing slip.
What we need from you before
- Varieties and estimated quantities, separated per container.
- Postcode location — this results in the collection costs.
- Access, passage height, underground, shunting area.
- Whether crane or forklift are necessary and who puts them.
- A local contact with a telephone number.
- In the case of commercial customers, the VAT identification number, because in the case of scrap metal, the beneficiary owes the tax, § 13b para. 2 no. 7 VATG.
Weighing, proof and payment
Weighing is empty and loaded; the difference is your weight, and the weighing is yours. The actual grade — which was — is calculated on the basis of the weighing slip and credit note, together with the collection costs. Establishments receive a credit in accordance with § 14 para. 2 VATG. The money laundering law requires a valid ID card from 1,000 euros and the minimum payment is 25 euros. This includes proof of disposal per fraction; the whole chain is under Metal disposal.
Ongoing seizure: collection by level
Companies with regular seizures do not keep a container free, but replace it. We put up a container permanently, pick it up after agreed rhythm or level, weigh and write the daily price well.
