Brass heavy is not an alloy of its own, but a matter of pieceness. Massive, thick-walled parts bring more material per piece and less surface – that is why the grade stands above the light brass.

What matters to brass heavy

Fittings and fittings, fittings, valves, sliders, gears, bearing jacks, castings and solid fittings. Rule of thumb: Whoever weighs the part in his hand and values over a kilo is usually right.

Sanitary and heating plants, mechanical engineering, locksmithies, dismantling of heating and water pipes, maintenance of pumps and valves.

Which lowers the classification

Iron cores and steel spindles in fittings, bolted steel parts, plastic handles, seals as well as chromed or nickel-plated surfaces. We rate parts with iron core or fixed fittings as mixed brass. Half an hour of dismantling changes the classification noticeably.

Delimitation to brass light and gunmetal

Thin-walled sheets and fittings are to be classified in Light brass scrap. Reddish-brown pump housings and bearing bushings are not brass scrap, but Gunmetal scrap pieces and will be remunerated higher. The current quotations are shown below: Metal prices.

Choose grade, specify quantity, receive shipping label, deliver package. We accept shipments up to 1,000 kg – distribute heavy fittings on several small cartons. After weighing, the payout follows. So you can sell brass without driving yourself.

From what amount is the collection worthwhile

From 500 kg we pick up Germany-wide with our own fleet. The collection costs are staggered after distance and are fixed before the journey.

Weighing and disbursement

Weighing on calibrated scales, the weighing is yours. The payment is made within 24 hours, cash or by bank transfer. In the event of major disbursements, the Money Laundering Act requires an ID card. In the case of commercial delivery, the tax liability is governed by § 13b of the UStG. We have been buying from private and commercial businesses for over ten years as a family business.
