A metal project rarely goes wrong with the material. It goes wrong in the order: disassembly begins before the container stands; the truck is gone when the truck comes; the partial quantity has gone before someone weighed it. With us, project management means to define this order and keep it — with a contact person from the offer to the last billing.
When a project is worth it and when a call is enough
A single pickup doesn't need a project. That's enough Logistics and containers: Report, fill, pick up. A project will come out of it as soon as several things come together — multiple trades, several subsets, a fixed end date or a third party wishing to see evidence. As a scale: from about 20 tons total or from three parties involved, the control is calculated; the number is a benchmark from practice, not a threshold at which we reject someone.
Typical occasions:
- Dissolution of operation. Production is done, hall has to be empty, appointment is fixed. Machines, stocks, shelves, wiring and mixed scrap run out at the same time.
- Insolvency recovery. The administrator needs verifiable proceeds per position, not a sum at the end.
- Transfer of plant or conversion of production. Part of the installations is carried out, part is used. You can't mix either.
- Decommissioning of individual plants in operation. For this we disassemble ourselves, see Industrial dismantling.

Clear interfaces are half the schedule. What's the point, we write before the first day:

Work is possible during ongoing operation. Installations are previously demonstrated to be unlocked and pressure-free; oils, coolants and artificial mineral fibers are recorded in advance and given to approved specialist companies.
The process in eight steps
- Enquiry with location, scope and target date about the Supply or by phone. Feedback within a working day.
- On-site inspection — as a guideline within the following working week, faster in case of insolvency dates.
- Quantity determination per position: grade, estimated weight, condition, accessibility.
- Offer with validity date. It shows per position what is counted and what is calculated.
- Schedule: order of subsets, container locations, equipment requirements, responsible per day.
- Transposition into sub-quantities — each with its own weighing, so that no one at the end has to explain a total sum without origin.
- Weighing on calibrated scales in Ludwigshafen, weighing slip per journey, proof of disposal per fraction.
- Billing per subset, payment within 24 hours of receipt of the weighing slip.
Quantitative determination and evaluation
Each position is evaluated, not per hall. The basis is the daily prices of the 60 grades in 8 groups from the Scrap metal buying; Iron and mixed scrap we call process. What moves the proceeds is the purity of the grade: A control cabinet with cleanly separated copper brings a multiple of what it delivers as mixed scrap — that's why we already separate during dismantling.
We treat machines worth receiving separately. A functional plant often brings more than its material value as used goods; whether sold or disassembled, we decide with you before the first key. Larger or varietal lots we market over our network, see Metal sales.
How much it costs
Three items may be incurred and all three are fixed before the order: disassembly capacity according to effort, container setting according to size and service life, removal costs according to distance — staggered between 40 and 350 euros, calculated with the crow flies between your postal code and Ludwigshafen. The material value is countervalued. For projects with value, therefore, there is no bill, but a payment. We do not mention a number that applies to each project: two halls of the same size differ by a factor of two when one copper is installed and the other steel sheet.
What tilts a schedule
From completed projects it is always the same six points, and five of them can be clarified beforehand: an access road that the truck does not take; a power supply that has not yet been unlocked; a hall part that is rented out and not accessible; a subset that has been run off without weighing; a missing subscription right on the release day. The sixth point is the weather. Therefore, a visit and not an offer from the desk is at the beginning — and therefore every schedule does not include a two to four weeks' advance for containers and equipment as an experience.
Documents and legal provisions
We need proof of ownership or power of disposal, in case of insolvency the decision, to do so a contact person with subscription right. Companies receive a credit according to § 14 para. 2 VATG; for scrap metal, the beneficiary owes the tax, § 13b para. 2 no. 7 VATG. The money laundering law requires a valid ID card from 1,000 euros and the minimum payment is 25 euros. If the proceeds of a position are not sufficient to bear the costs, we say so in the offer and not in the settlement.
