Selling and marketing scrap metal
When selling scrap metal, three things decide on the proceeds, and none of them is negotiation: the right grade, a proven weight and the appropriate transport route. On this page, as we do all three — from the first photo to the credit. For businesses, we also take over the marketing of whole fractions through our network.
60 grades are purchased in 8 groups: copper, brass and cast red, aluminium, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, lead and zinc, carbide as well as iron and mixed scrap. The daily prices are open in the Scrap metal buying and are tested daily. So you know before the sale what amount you expect.
The procedure in four steps
- The data are given in the table below. Enter grades, quantity and location — online or by phone. Photos help with mixed goods more than any description.
- Evaluation. Choose the grade yourself at the time of sale; it is calculated according to the actual grade. For lots without daily rate — iron, mixed scrap, special grade — you get a Supply, feedback within one working day.
- Organize transport. Deliver, pick up or send by DHL. Which way to go is shown in the table below.
- Credit. Weighing calibrated, weighing slip, payout within 24 hours of receipt — by bank transfer, with PayPal with 2 percent retention, upon request cash at the balance until 9,999 euros.

Open Monday to Saturday, 9 am to 6 pm, no appointment. More weight, better set
The daily price is based on a quantity scale, which depends on the delivery value and not on the weight: from 25 euros delivery value 2 percent, from 2,500 euros 5 percent. Because the cost of a process in euros is almost constant — weigh, sort, document, pay — the kilo limit shifts with the daily price. For expensive grades such as copper or carbide, the season is therefore achieved earlier than for mixed scrap.
The second lever is yours: varietal purity. In the mixture, the whole delivery is evaluated according to the weaker quality. Two containers instead of one cost nothing and bring more — Copper The difference between bare wires and mixed cable scrap is multiple.
Which lowers the classification
Five things cost money regularly in the company, and all five can be parked in minutes:
- Other iron In the non-ferrous metal container — screws, clamps, washers. A magnetic flow across the open container does this.
- Cooling lubricant and grinding sludge on chips. They weigh along, run out in the container and do not belong in the purchase.
- Plastic, insulation, seals, labels other clean goods.
- Mixed containersin which there are two goodnesses of the same group.
- Moisture and rust in the case of iron and steel, which are both weighed together.
Weighing and settlement
Weighing is done on a calibrated scale, empty and loaded on vehicles; the weighing slip is yours. Weight, grade and transport costs are on weighing and credit. The minimum payment is 25 euros, from 1,000 euros the money laundering law requires a valid ID card. Companies receive a credit according to § 14 para. 2 VATG; in the case of scrap metal, the recipient of the benefit owes the tax, § 13b para. 2 no. 7 VATG — an amount is therefore not deducted from you, but is carried away by us.
Marketing of larger lots
With quantities of pure grades in tonnes, the purchase price is not always the end of the flagpole. We have direct links to huts, foundries and processors in Germany and abroad and market your group where it brings the most. This takes longer than a sale at the price of the day, and that is why we predict which of the two ways for your game is the better one.
