We buy brass chips from machining dry and clean. The price of brass chips per kg is higher, the less oil and foreign chips are included.

Brass chips are created during turning, milling and drilling and occur mainly in machining. When buying, it is not the quantity alone that counts, but how clean and how dry the brass chips are.

What counts to brass chips

Turning, milling and drilling chips made of MS58, MS63 and related alloys, loose or in containers, including broken chips from automatic turning.

Typical seizure sites

Turning mills and automatic lathes, milling and CNC operations, tool making, fitting and fitting production.

Which lowers the classification

Oil and cooling emulsion in the containers, iron chips from the neighboring machine, grinding dust, rags, gloves and tool residues. Water weighs with it, but does not help anyone: Wet chips are classified as a problem and lower when melted. Drain chips for a short time, then load them.

Delimitation to cast red chips and general cargo

Reddish chips made of pump housings or bearing bushings are: Gunmetal turnings and are remunerated higher – a mixture pulls both grades down. Stirring remains belong to Brass 58. The daily quotations are available at: Metal prices.

This is how the parcel shipment works

Choose grade, specify quantity, receive shipping label, deliver package. Chips belong in dense, rice-resistant containers so that nothing gets out on the way. We'll accept shipments up to 1,000 kg. After weighing, the payout follows. So you can sell brass without leaving the plant.

From what amount is the collection worthwhile

From 500 kg we pick up Germany-wide with our own fleet – for chippers and grid boxes this is the usual way. The collection costs are staggered after distance and are fixed before the journey. For regular quantities request an offer.

Delivery to Ludwigshafen

Weighing and disbursement

Weighing on calibrated scales, the weighing is yours. The payment is made within 24 hours, cash or by bank transfer. In the event of major disbursements, the Money Laundering Act requires an ID card. In the case of commercial delivery, the tax liability is governed by § 13b of the UStG.
