V4A scrap (stainless steel 1.4401/1.4571) contains molybdenum and therefore brings more than V2A. We charge the V4A scrap price per kg daily.

What matters to V4A waste

V4A is acid-resistant stainless steel: a chromium-nickel alloy with additional molybdenum content, approximately in composition 20/10/2. The molybdenum makes the difference to V2A – and it is noticeable in terms of revenue, as V4A is paid significantly higher. We buy V4A waste up to 1.5 m in length. This limit of length is a real acceptance criterion: up to 1.5 m the scrap metal can be loaded without cutting, longer parts must be shortened beforehand.

Typical seizure sites

Chemical, food and marine technology provide the largest part: pipes, sheets, containers, tanks, agitators, fittings and plant parts from dismantling and dismantling. Workshops and metal construction companies also regularly have V4A in the container.

Which lowers the classification

Iron adhesions and welded steel parts, screws, seals, plastic, insulation and residues from the process. Your scrap metal achieves the best classification with pure and dry grades.

Delimitation to V2A

V2A waste up to 1,5 m are chrome-nickel steel 18/8 without molybdenum, often called nirosta, and bring less. The magnetic test is only suitable as a rough layman's test: both grades are usually not or only weakly magnetic, they cannot be kept apart. If both go into the same container, we evaluate the whole delivery after the weaker grade – the safe separation is the biggest lever for the V4A purchase. We conduct machining material separately, for example as V2A stainless steel turnings.

This is how the parcel shipment works

Choose grade, specify quantity, receive shipping label, deliver package – we accept shipments up to 1,000 kg by DHL. Then follow weighing and payout. For smaller quantities from a disassembly this is usually the easiest way.

From what amount is the collection worthwhile

Our recycling yard in Ludwigshafen accepts V4A without appointment: Industriestraße 4, 67063 Ludwigshafen am Rhein, Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Further delivery points will follow.

Weighing and disbursement

Weighing on calibrated scales, the weighing is yours. Payment is made within 24 hours, cash or by bank transfer. In the event of major disbursements, the Money Laundering Act requires an identification card; in the case of commercial delivery, the tax debtor applies according to § 13b of the UStG. Because nickel, chromium and molybdenum are relisted daily, the daily price of the day of weighing is valid – to read under Metal prices.
