gunmetal is a copper-tin-zinc alloy and thus no brass. The tin content makes the difference: gunmetal achieves one of the best prices among non-ferrous metals. It can be seen from the reddish-brown, matte fracture surface.

What counts to gunmetal pieces

Pump housings, impellers, bearing bushings and plain bearings, fittings, valves, sliders and fittings made of cast iron. Gunmetal pieces are massive and thick-walled, often with sandy casting surface.

Which lowers the classification

Compressed steel cores, shaft stumps, screws and pin screws, plastic parts, seals, bearing shells made of steel as well as paint and cement residues from pipelines. A magnet will show you what else needs to be done in seconds.

Delimitation to brass and chips

This is how the parcel shipment works

Choose grade, specify quantity, receive shipping label, deliver package. Gunmetal is dense and heavy, prefer to pack several small cartons. We'll accept shipments up to 1,000 kg. After weighing, the payout follows. So you can sell gunmetal without driving yourself.

From what amount is the collection worthwhile

From 500 kg we pick up Germany-wide with our own fleet. The collection costs are staggered after distance and are fixed before the journey. For larger quantities please contact us first.

Weighing and disbursement

Weighing on calibrated scales, the weighing is yours. The payment is made within 24 hours, cash or by bank transfer. In the event of major disbursements, the Money Laundering Act requires an ID card.
