What counts to copper cable about 60 %

Copper cables approx. 60% are medium-strength cables, with around 60 percent of the weight being attributable to the copper conductor. Typically, a balanced relationship between conductors and insulating material. This makes the grade between the low-grade heavy cables and the bare wire.

Typical seizure sites

NYM cables from house installations and commercial buildings, control lines, supply lines in distribution cabinets. The vein cross-sections are usually between 1.5 mm2 and 10 mm2. The scrap metal is produced in larger quantities during renovations, conversions and after the end of operation – often together with electric motors and residues from the distribution cabinet.

Which lowers the classification

PVC filler and thick outer shell, glued plaster and mortar, drawn empty pipes, clamps, cans and switches at the end of the cable. Separate foreign parts and collect the pipes dry, then the copper portion stays where it belongs.

Delimitation to neighbouring grades

Strong cross-sections with a thin shell are rated higher than Copper cable approx. 70 %. Thin, multi-coated lines run as Cu cable mixed (38–40% Cu), line with plug as Cu plug-in cable (30 % Cu). Stripping from NYM cable is bare wire – but with fine veins the effort is rarely worthwhile.

From 500 kg we pick up Germany-wide with our own fleet. The collection costs are staggered after distance and are fixed before the journey. For a decore with several grid boxes you request an offer in advance.

Weighing and disbursement

Weighing on calibrated scales, the weighing is yours. Payment is made within 24 hours, cash or by bank transfer. In the event of major disbursements, the Money Laundering Act requires an ID card. If you deliver commercially, the tax liability shall apply in accordance with § 13b of the UStG. We buy from private and commercial, as a family business with our own recyclable farm in Ludwigshafen.
