Brass Buying & gunmetal – Selling Brass Scrap

Brass and gunmetal are copper alloys, and their value depends on them: the more copper in the alloy – with gunmetal additional tin – the better the classification. When buying brass, we do not sort according to appearance, but by grade. We buy from private individuals as well as from businesses, in Ludwigshafen am Rhein and Germany-wide.

The grades in detail

Brass 58 (MS58) is the most common alloy: turning and milling parts, fittings, fittings. Brass 63 (MS63) has a higher copper content and comes as sheet metal, thermoforming or punching part. Brass cartridge cases – cartridge and deep drawing sleeves made of MS72 and related alloys – are higher because of their high copper content. We distinguish by piecemeal Heavy brass scrap (massive fittings, valves, gears, castings) and Light brass scrap (thin-wall plates, fittings, small profiles). Brass turnings We also accept from turning and milling.

For the gunmetal purchase we lead Gunmetal scrap pieces and Gunmetal turnings. gunmetal is a copper-tin-zinc alloy and achieves one of the best prices among non-ferrous metals due to its tin content – typical sources are pump housings, bearing bushings and valves.

What lifts and lowers the classification

The quotations follow the copper market and change daily; the valid figures are shown below: Metal prices. Pull down any delivery: Iron screws and steel spindles in fittings, plastic handles, seals, soldering tin residues as well as nickel-plated or chrome-plated surfaces. Chips should be free of oil, emulsion and foreign chips – we have to sort out mixed chips and that costs money. If you don't throw gunmetals together with brass, you better sell them both. Three Ways to Us

Delivery. Industriestraße 4 in 67063 Ludwigshafen, Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., no appointment – what you should bring.

Shipping. Send brass and gunmetal to us up to 1,000 kg. For a bucket sleeve or a crate fittings this is usually the easiest way.

Pick-up. From 500 kg we pick up nationwide with our own fleet; the collection costs are staggered after distance and are fixed before the trip.

Weighing and disbursement

Weighing on calibrated scales, the weighing is yours. The payment is made within 24 hours, cash or by bank transfer. From €1,000, the money laundering law requires an identification card; in the case of commercial delivery, the tax debtor applies according to § 13b UStG. For more than ten years, we have been running the company as a family business – for larger jobs request an offer.
