What happens in your company

In the machining there are two things in the yard: tool scrap with high value on small volume and chips with weight.

Solid-carbide drills are blunt or broken solid carbide tools from CNC machining, i.e. drills, milling cutters, reamers and sinkers; steel shafts with soldered tip do not belong to this. Widia indexable insertsIn operation, WSP for short, belong in a lockable container on the machine, otherwise they go with the chips into the conveyor. HSS high-speed steel from spiral drills, threaded drills and saw blades needs its own container: HSS is half as heavy as carbide and keeps firmer on the magnet. Mixed carbide scrap is the unsorted box of maintenance with plates and drill remains. Solid carbide scrap are massive parts from fist size, i.e. drawing stones, matrices and stamps, preferably without pressed steel frame.

The chips from wet processing

Aluminium chips base 5 % are turning, milling and drilling chips starting from alloy 226; the five percent indicate the permissible proportion of adhesions and humidity. V2A stainless steel turnings from 1.4301 need its own barrel, because a layer of steel chips makes the batch for sorting. Brass turnings from MS58 and MS63 are light yellow, Gunmetal turnings from pump housings and bearing bushings darker, reddish and the more valuable; a common barrel pulls both down.

How pure it must be

Three exams decide, and all three do themselves. The magnet separates HSS from solid carbide, finds steel chips in the stainless steel barrel and shows whether there are still cassettes, clamp holders or steel beams in the plate box: solid carbide adheres weakly, steel clearly. The second applies to the cooling lubricant: emulsion and oil weigh along, do rework while melting and lower the classification; drain, hurl or briquette lifts it. The third applies to the container: cleaning cloths, grinding dust, foreign chips and a turning plate in aluminium barrel do not belong in it. Coatings such as TiN or TiAlN are uncritical. Pick-up rhythm and container

From 500 kg we collect nationwide with our own fleet. The collection costs are staggered by distance, are between 40 and 350 euros and are fixed before the trip. With chips, a few filled barrels from the turning shop suffice; with carbide, the same weight is stuck in a bucket. Settlement against credit

Commercial deliveries are made via a credit in accordance with § 14 para. 2 VATG: You do not write an invoice, the receipt comes from us. He does not show VAT because the beneficiary owes the tax on scrap metal, § 13b para. 2 no. 7 VATG. Weighing is done on calibrated scales, per grade; the weighing slip is yours.
