HSS high-speed steel is not a carbide but a high-alloy tool steel – and still worth much more than ordinary steel scrap. We buy from machining plants, tool grinding companies and private individuals, in Ludwigshafen am Rhein and throughout Germany.

What counts to HSS high-speed steel

HSS (High Speed Steel) is a tool steel with high proportions of tungsten, molybdenum, vanadium and partly cobalt. From it spiral drills, milling cutters, saw blades, threaded drills, cutting irons, clearing needles and turning steels are created. These alloying components make up the value – that is why we carry out the purchase of high-speed steel as our own type and not under steel scrap. The classification shall be carried out after analysis.

Stumped tools from drilling and milling, scraped saw blades from metal band saws, regrinding of the tool grinder as well as remaining stocks from workshop resolutions and storage clearances.

Which lowers the classification

Iron and structural steel parts in the same container, plastic handles, wooden staples, saw blades with soldered carbide teeth, heavy pollution, rust and coolant residue. Bimetal saw blades carry only one HSS strip on a carrier belt – tell us in advance, then the classification is correct.

Delimitation to solid carbide

This is the most important separation: Solid-carbide drills and Widia indexable inserts consist of tungsten carbide and are significantly higher remunerated. VHM is about twice as heavy as HSS and weaker on the magnet. If you throw both together, you give away the difference, because the mixed quantity is classified according to the weaker grade.

Choose grade, specify quantity, receive shipping label, deliver package. Then follow weighing and payout. Up to 1,000 kg per shipment is possible. Lace tools include bundled and padded in the carton.

From what amount is the collection worthwhile

From 500 kg we pick up Germany-wide with our own fleet. The collection costs are staggered after distance and are fixed before the journey. This is the easiest way for grid boxes from manufacturing; those who want to sell HSS scrap and only have a bucket full better use the shipping.

Weighing and disbursement

Weighing on calibrated scales, the weighing is yours. The frame shows the daily price below Metal prices. Payment is made within 24 hours, cash or by bank transfer. In the event of major disbursements, the Money Laundering Act requires an identification card; in the case of commercial delivery, the tax debtor applies according to § 13b of the UStG. For over ten years, we have been running the company as a family business with our own recyclable farm.
