Tin Purchase – Selling tin for daily price

Reintinn, crockery tin and soldering are separated by the tin content – here is what we assume, how you see it and how the sale takes place.

For tin, the tin content decides on the proceeds, not the shape: pure tin and tin-lead lot both look grey and are far apart when purchased. Choose the grade yourself, will be billed according to the actual grade on the calibrated scale. All five grades are based on the Non-ferrous metals.

We'll buy this

• Tin 99 % – Pure tin: bars, block tin, anode residues, tube tin.
• Tin 90 % – Tiny fine solder and solder rods from the installation.
• Tin 60 % – Electronic solder: wire solder, solder bars, crucible residues.
• Tin 30 % – Tin-lead lot, high lead content, noticeably heavier.
• Tin solder – mixed solder residues and solder bath removal from production.
• Crockery tin, tin figures, tin foil, tin pipe; the stamp on the floor often refers to the content.

We don't buy this

• Whiteplate: tinned cans and steel sheets. The magnet adheres, the tin coating weighs nothing – this is Iron scrap.
• Tinned copper wires, red at the interface: they run over the Buying of copper.

• Composite bearing with cast-on steel support shell: inseparable, that is mixed scrap.
• Loose sludges and filter dusts: not meltable, waste disposal business.
• Batteries and batteries: the retailers take back.

Tin: the characteristics

Tin is not magnetic – the magnet adheres, iron is stuck in the part. Freshly cut silvery light, in the air evenly matte grey, without green flowers. It's soft: the fingernail leaves a trace, a sheet of metal pinches instead of feathers. The fracture surface is coarsely grained matte grey. Beaten tin sounds dull and short, and it remains lighter than lead of the same size.

Reintins, kitchen tins, soldering tins

Reintinn comes as a bar, anode residue or pipe and crunches while bending. Crockery tin is alloyed with antimony and copper, harder, often polished and stamped; handles and hinges can be other metal. Soldering comes as a roll, rod or bath extract: the more lead, the heavier and softer.

How the sale is done in four steps

1. Specify the grade and quantity of: Request a quote.
2. Choose your way: send in, pick up or bring by DHL all over Germany, see Delivery.
3. Weighing at Ludwigshafen am Rhein on calibrated scales, classification according to the actual grade; the weighing slip is yours.
4. Payment within 24 hours of receipt of the weighing slip, for businesses by credit in accordance with § 14 para. 2 VATG.

Minimum quantity, shipping costs, payout

There is no minimum quantity. Package shipping up to 1,000 kg, per package maximum 31.5 kg, 6 euros per package, charged with the payment; the shipping label comes from us by e-mail. Collection from 500 kg throughout Germany, the collection costs are staggered by distance, lie between 40 and 350 Euro and are fixed before the journey. Delivery in the Rhein-Neckar-Raum: Industriestraße 4, 67063 Ludwigshafen am Rhein, Mo to Sat 9 to 18 o'clock, without appointment – follow further delivery points.
