Copper granulate is produced during cable preparation and has a very high copper content. When buying copper granules, we pay the daily price of copper granules per kg – depending on purity and plastic residues.

What counts to copper granules

Copper granules are crushed copper from the cable preparation: The line is shredded, the conductor is broken and separated from the plastic on the separation table. Back, the copper that can be trickled remains in grains of about one to five millimeters, bright and without insulating residues.

Typical seizure sites

Cable conditioners and recycling plants with granulation system, electric plants with their own small granulation, cable production loops.

Which lowers the classification

Plastic and foil parts from the wind vision, high dust and fine content, moisture in the bag, aluminium grains from the same plant and iron that the magnet has not caught.

Delimitation to the types of cables

We weigh cables with insulation according to the conductor part, for example as Copper cable approx. 70 % or Cu cable mixed (38-40%Cu). Blanker wire is Millberry copper.
