Send in up to 1,000 kg throughout Germany: packaging, label, runtime and what it costs.
The 31.5 kilograms per package are not a house rule: in the industry this is considered the limit for a package that a person should lift alone. In addition, the mass comes, because a DHL package may be 120 times 60 by 60 centimeters in size. With metal, the weight is almost always reached first and not the volume — vice versa it is only for aluminium, zinc sheet and cables.
This results in packing. Double-shaft boxes or buckets with lid instead of bags; heavy parts in the middle and not on an edge; chips exclusively in dense containers; sharp edges covered so that nothing cuts through the wall. And label each package individually when different grades are on the move so that each grade can be weighed for itself.
To the top, this path ends at 1,000 kilograms per process, which is up to 32 packages. Those who come into this order of size should offset: From 500 kilograms the collection is open, and a single pick-up date is often more convenient than twenty labels and twenty ways to the parcel shop.
What if the grade is classified differently?
The initial classification is done on sale by selecting the grade. It is calculated according to the actual grade. What grade and weight were counted is on the weighing slip and on the credit note; the weighing slip is yours. Separately packaged, labeled grades therefore regularly carry more than one mixed item.
When exactly is the money coming?
Within 24 hours of receipt of the weighing slip, by bank transfer or PayPal; 2 percent of the amount will be withheld from PayPal. With self-delivery in Ludwigshafen, it is possible on request to use cash at the scales. The money laundering law requires a valid ID card from 1,000 euros.
What if my package is heavier than 31.5 kg?
Then it is distributed over several packages. 31.5 kg is the limit per package at DHL, not the limit of this route: We calculate the required number and send a label for each package, up to the total limit of 1,000 kg per operation. You can only switch over to pick-up from 500 kg or delivery.
Where do I get the shipping label?
From us, usually within one working day after completion, as PDF by e-mail and per package of one. They stick it on and deliver the packages in a DHL branch or a parcel shop. You will pay nothing at the receiving point; the 6 euros per package will be charged later with the payment.
How long do I have to leave the packages?
For five working days, the kilo price agreed upon at the conclusion applies. If the packages are left behind, we will remember once after five days; after 14 days we may cancel the process. If you notice that it takes longer, you better get in touch with them first — a new label is created faster than a process is revived.
