The way through the website does not change the price, but the time when you know it. On the farm, the number is discussed; online it is before you set something in motion — per grade, with quantity scale, with the state of the day and against the shipping or pick-up costs of the chosen route.
This shifts the actual work forward. The one decision that doesn't pay you a bill is the separation: whoever sorts before entering, gets their own sentence for each grade; whoever writes everything in one line, gets a sentence for everything. The same applies when packing — separate, labeled containers correspond to what you have entered.
Two things are also different online than on the farm. The process is in writing and thus comprehensible: grade, quantity, way, costs, later weighing slip and credit in the same file. And opening hours do not matter — a sale can be concluded on Sunday evenings, the package starts on Monday.
Do I see the proceeds before I sell?
Yeah. Once you have entered grade and quantity, the amount per line is in the sales basket, including the selected shipping costs or collection costs. The final amount is calculated from the weighing: the actual weight is weighted on a calibrated scale and the actual grade is billed.
What if the grade is classified differently?
The initial classification is done on sale by selecting the grade. It is calculated according to the actual grade. What grade and weight were counted is on the weighing slip and on the credit note; the weighing slip is yours. Separately packaged, labeled grades therefore regularly carry more than one mixed item.
Is there a minimum quantity?
No minimum weight, but a minimum payment of 25 euros. This limit applies to the amount left over after deduction of shipping costs or collection costs — the sales basket indicates this as long as it is not reached. To top the parcel shipping ends at 1,000 kg, over it we pick up from 500 kg throughout Germany.
When exactly is the money coming?
Within 24 hours of receipt of the weighing slip, by bank transfer or PayPal; 2 percent of the amount will be withheld from PayPal. With self-delivery in Ludwigshafen, it is possible on request to use cash at the scales. The money laundering law requires a valid ID card from 1,000 euros.
Can I cancel a sale?
Free up to 12 hours after graduation. After that, the purchase contract is binding and there is a cancellation fee. Conversely, the price guarantee applies for five working days: We accept the goods at the agreed kiloprice for such a long time, even if the stock exchange is declining in the meantime.
I'm a company, how is it billed?
About a credit according to § 14 para. 2 UStG, which we issue; we do not need an invoice from you. In the case of scrap metal, the beneficiary owes the tax in accordance with § 13b para. 2 no. 7 VATG, the credit indicates this note. For current seizures we agree fixed conditions instead of daily price per delivery.
