From 500 kg we pick up: driveway, appointment, costs and how is weighed.
A pick-up is a journey, and a journey is calculated at the ratio of distance to material value, not at the weight alone. 500 kilograms of non-ferrous metal carry the collection costs easily; 500 kilograms of iron scrap often do not carry at a long distance. This is the one step before ordering — and because the cost level is fixed before the trip, it can also be done.
Helpful is an idea of how much 500 kilograms actually are. With stainless steel sheet, this fills a grid box, with copper cables almost half, with lead it fits on half a pallet, and with aluminium profiles a whole transporter is full. Those who think of their material in containers instead of in kilograms estimate clearly more reliable.
A simple rule applies to the loading point: the less improvised, the shorter the stay. Material at the front of the driveway instead of at the back in the yard, separate grades in separate containers, space for shunting for a truck. Mixed charges are common and unproblematic, they are weighed individually in the plant per grade.
Do I need an appointment?
When delivery, pay attention to the opening times of our contact points. Otherwise, you can sell the scrap metal online at any time and then receive your credit paid out after weighing.
When exactly is the money coming?
Within 24 hours of receipt of the weighing slip, by bank transfer or PayPal; 2 percent of the amount will be withheld from PayPal. With self-delivery in Ludwigshafen, it is possible on request to use cash at the scales. The money laundering law requires a valid ID card from 1,000 euros.
How much is the collection cost exactly?
They are staggered according to the distance between your location and Ludwigshafen and lie between 40 and 350 euros. It is calculated with the crow flies, not with the route. You will see your level at the end of the sale, i.e. before the trip; the amount will be charged with the payment and shown on the credit note.
Is there a weight on the spot?
Nope. A truck does not have a calibrated scale on board, so it weighs at the factory in Ludwigshafen: empty and loaded, the difference is your weight. You'll get the birth certificate, it's yours. If you want to be there while weighing, self-delivery is the right way.
What does the driver need on site?
A loading station that a truck can get to, the information on whether crane or forklift is needed, and someone that can be contacted. Close courtyards, underground garages and soft surfaces decide on the vehicle, not the amount. Individual parts should be chargierable, i.e. not more than 1.5 metres long.
What if I have less than 500 kg?
Then the parcel shipment leads to money faster: up to 31.5 kg per package, up to 1,000 kg per process, 6 euros per package, label from us. Those who sit close to Ludwigshafen often advance cheaper themselves, Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and without appointment. The 500 kg shall be valid for all types of a process.
